*Confirmed engine light illuminated and rough running symptom. Scanned engine control module and found active misfire faults on cylinders #1 and #2. Moved coils to different cylinders and misfire faults were set for those cylinders. Engine is from a salvage yard (yellow marker written on it in several places) and ignition coils look old/original. – Recommend replacing all ignition coils and spark plugs.

*Confirmed symptom. Multiple overheating faults stored into the engine computer. Expansion tank was empty upon arrival. Topped up the coolant and pressure tested the cooling system. With the system under pressure found the thermostat assembly actively leaking coolant – Replace thermostat, clear faults, and road test to determine if any faults return and AC should begin blowing cold at that time.*

*Struts and shocks are currently function and show no evidence of leakage. All 4 bump foam bump stops are deteriorated/crumbling. Not a danger, but may be prone to noise. Replacement requires removal and disassembly of struts assemblies and is quite time consuming. – Will monitor.

Our provided Freon contains a colorless UV dye that will aid in tracing future leaks. If any leaks or failed components are present, an estimate of necessary repairs for the AC system will be provided. *Topped off coolant level in expansion tank and pressure tested system. Active coolant leak found from plastic thermostat at assembly and the plastic crossover pipe which connects it to the water pump. – Recommend new thermostat assembly and coolant crossover pipe, bleed system and retest.
