- *Topped off and pressure tested cooling system. Found active coolant leak from primary radiator. – Recommend new primary radiator assembly.
- RADIATOR – Remove & Replace – Primary – [Includes: Bleed System (where applicable).]
- OIL LEVEL SENSOR – Remove & Replace – [Includes: Drain and refill Engine Oil.]
- *Possible engine light for stored "thermostat jammed open fault". Thermostat integrated into Heat Exchanger Assembly. Fault cleared and engine temperature is regulating correctly at this time. – If fault returns, recommend new heat exchanger module. **Possible engine light for returning power management faults. – Diagnostic time needed. ***Possible engine light for returning auxiliary coolant pump open/short circuit faults. Vehicle has 3 separate auxiliary coolant pumps. – Diagnostic time needed. ****Possible engine light and rough running for returning "combustion control: jerking speed decrease when driving off". Also fault present in IHKA for "air conditioning compressor shut down due to excess pressure in refrigerant circuit". AC system likely overcharged. – Recommend starting with AC evac and recharge service, clear faults and retest. *****Possible suspension warning due to returning short circuit faults for all ride height sensors. Suspension randomly lowers and not filling back up on its own with either pushing the raise button in the vehicle or having to use an external Autologic computer. System calibration was completed, however, symptoms remain. – Diagnostic time needed.
- AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC INSPECTION – A series of tests and a comprehensive inspection of your vehicles Air Conditioning System performed by a qualified, licensed and experienced technician that knows your BMW. Temperature readings are measured at A/C vent to ensure system is cooling to specification. A visual inspection of the a/c system is performed. Freon is recovered from system and the level documented. Once system is holding vacuum, Freon is refilled to factory specification utilizing the recovered Freon. Our provided Freon contains a colorless UV dye that will aid in tracing future leaks. If any leaks or failed components are present, an estimate of necessary repairs for the AC system will be provided. IF A/C STARTS TO BLOW WARM WITHIN 90 DAYS OF SERVICE, THERE WILL BE A $168.50 FOLLOW UP CHARGE TO RE-EVALUATE THE A/C SYSTEM (PLUS THE COST OF ANY ADDITIONAL FREON REQUIRED). ***System was nearly full. Recover 1.17 lbs of freon out of a 1.32 lb system. System held vacuum and accepted a full charge. Accessed and tested AC pressure switch. Switch resistance tested abnormally high. AC pressure switch has failed. – Recommend new AC pressure switch, clear faults and retest.
- *AC system now working correctly. Cleared vehicle faults and the only returning fault was for "combustion control: jerking speed decrease when driving off". Currently not causing an engine light or drivability symptom. Fault returns as soon as it's cleared, even with engine not running. Possible software update needed. – Recommend taking to BMW dealer for testing and repair. **One time experienced hesitation at idle at cold start, but resolved itself relatively quickly. Could be due to worn spark plugs, as the service history shows they would now be 12k past due since last reported that they were changed.
